FACTS & FIGUREs

While you were watching the nearly three-minute long video, we planted over 250 trees. That is in addition to the over 284,000 hectares of pine and eucalyptus forests we have planted in the states of Paraná, Santa Catarina, and São Paulo. And we’re very proud to be responsible for the conservation of another 248,000 hectares of native forests in the regions.

We are pioneers in mosaic forest management, which is a planting method that creates ecological corridors with large tracts of native forest to foster biodiversity conservation. Besides preserving the headwaters of rivers, they also optimize rainwater use and protect fauna and flora.

Transformed into essential products for millions of Brazilians in various segments such as food, personal care and cleaning, our forests sustainably create over 25,000 jobs and foster the country’s development.

million tons of CO2, giving us a positive carbon emissions balance.

Our planted and native forests remove and stock more carbon than we emit in our industrial processes.

KLABIN AND AMAZONIA

Although all our pulp and paper production comes from planted and certified forests in the states of Paraná, Santa Catarina and São Paulo, which are thousands of kilometers from Amazonia, the struggle to preserve Brazil's natural resources is very important for us.

PAPER IS MORE SUSTAINABLE

The circular economy ensures that everything extracted from nature and the materials used in the production process are reintegrated into the ecosystem.

Decomposition: at the end of the life cycle, biobased products can be safely reintroduced into the ecosystem.
